Ratings Summary
Quiet serene secluded primitive 8-site campground with many sites along the lake. The sites are large, well-spaced apart and nicely wooded. We were the only ones in the whole campground. Our site was bi-level with a nice extra large picnic table, fire ring and bear-proof food storage unit up a slight hill. There are little paths leading from the campsites down to the lake. There is a small boat ramp. Lake Leo was as smooth as glass with beautiful reflections of the surrounding trees. I really love it here! We saw several game paths, large hoof prints, and large scat piles lakeside. I spoke to Forest Service visitor information assistant, Sharleen Puckett, a couple weeks ahead to check on probable site availability for our travel date. She was very kind and helpful and actually emailed photos of the campground to me.
