The camp host kept the chemical bathroom clean and was really helpful. Sound carries at 9,100 feet and our next door neighbor talked nonstop.
The last 5-10 miles to the site are on a very rough gravel road, so be prepared for a lot of shaking. Cell coverage at the site is nonexistent; however, there are pull-off spots along the dirt road at the top of the ridge facing Woodland Park where you can get decent signal. If you’re working while touring, the Woodland Park Library has excellent Wi-Fi and reservable meeting rooms.

I rated a 4 because it looked awesome from what we could see. It’s closed from September 26th to spring sometime. They are connected to Thunder ridge, and seem to mostly use Mueller as overflow. Thunder ridge was open, but for $26 bucks with no hookups at all... we would rather boondock for free. They have water, but say you can’t fill your rig, only containers. Good news though!! There is lots of dispersed camping, with good pull offs all along this road.

What a pretty campground! Not far from Woodland Park, CO. Lots of trees at the sites despite the fire damage surrounding the campground. Were in site 18. It is a pull thru site, but it is not very level. I had to lower the tongue all the way down for my trailer to be level. Very clean and maintained. The only draw-back was the campground host starting up his generator at 0600 both mornings. To be fair, quiet hours are from 2200-0600, but it seemed inconsiderate.

Site 11 seems to be the best site for backing up our Outback and T@B 320s teardrop camper. Two cars, three tents, 8 people and one dog all fit nicely. Luckily we had the tarps up when the hailstorm hit. All tents and equipment were dry afterwards.
Warning, there is a 4-5 mile long section of the road that is very rough and slow going when pulling a trailer.
Spectacular views of Pike’s Peak!
