“nestled in the scenic Ozark Highlands”

Located near the Oklahoma/Arkansas border in the scenic Ozark Highlands region of northeast Oklahoma, Natural Falls State Park features a 77-foot waterfall cascading through rock formations and creating a hidden, serene atmosphere at the bottom of a narrow V-shaped valley. A railed observation platform allows hikers to overlook the falls and another observation deck with seating is located at the foot of the falls offering two vantage points to enjoy one of the most scenic wonders in the state.  The beautiful scenery looks familiar to many visitors because scenes from the 1974 movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows" were filmed in the park.

The falls and creek area are beautiful and worth a trip but the campground is basically an open field next to the highway. We could hear cars all night long.
This is better for a day trip. The campground is not that special.

Nice an helpful staff, they clearly take pride in the park. Easy walk to the falls (didn't even know they existed!) 4.00 day fee. Clean playgrounds, facilities, and discuss golf.

very simple park. Clean campgrounds with nice easy trails to explore. I believe there are some that are wheel chair access. Make sure you are there after a rain or early in the year so it will really be flowing!

This is fairly standard state park with the usual broad mowed lawns, kid-friendly playground, picnic area, etc. The major distinguishing feature are the waterfalls, which are a short 1/2 mile walk down a paved trail from the campground.

RV sites are pull through and back-in, with full hookups or just W/E. The area is mostly shaded by trees. Being a family-friendly spot, you should expect to see kids and campfires, and smell something meaty cooking on the grill.

It's a convenient stopover if you are passing between Oklahoma and Arkansas on Rt 421. The campground is less than a mile off the highway, but quiet.

This is a basic state park campground, nothing special but a good place to spend a night or two. The sites are paved and level. Some sites are pull through. All sites will accommodate the biggest rig. This is a good stopover for someone on an east/west trip as the campground is less than a mile off the state highway (Highway 412.) Internet is OK, we were able to stream video (most of the time in HD) without any problem.

The proximity to the state highway means that there will be road noise from time to time. It's not overly oppressive, but does detract from the peaceful ambience. Also, there is a "small-town race track" about 3/4 miles from the campground which means that on occasional Friday and Saturday evenings you will hear the roar of the Dale Earnhardt wannabees. If you are into this, head on over, otherwise, it's not pleasant.

The natural falls and springs were somewhat of a disappointment as was the trail system.

The staff was friendly and accommodated us quickly without reservations.

Natural Falls State Park is a pleasant surprise. The park is well-maintained and the sites have level concrete pads. Most have only water and electrical service, but there's plenty of space and trees between you and your neighbors. Our favorite spot is site 14. It's in the far corner of the campground and requires a bit of backing to get in to, but the view and privacy make it worthwhile.
From the park, it's not a far drive to Siloam Springs or Bentonville, AR,
and the Crystal Bridges Art Museum.

Getting here was so easy. It is just on the Oklahoma side of the border on 412 near Siloam Springs. The checking in and getting in is very easy also. We ended up with an amazing sized site (could have fit 2 of our RVs in it) and it was water and electric. After checking in, we saw that actually some of the sites were FHU, so do some research if that is important to you.

The hiking trails and waterfall were so beautiful!

Overall, lots of space between sites, bathrooms were okay, nothing great - but they were building new playground and kept us the area nicely.

We cannot believe it took us this long to make it to Natural Falls State Park after living in Tulsa or Bentonville all my life.

We enjoyed our stay at this park. It was the holiday weekend and so there were quite a few families camping. It was noisy during the day with the children and dogs, but by quiet hours, it was peaceful. The park is clean and the sites fairly level. There are several trails for walking, one of which leads to the water falls. It was beautiful. The campground hosts were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience and we will stay here again.
