Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on August 24, 2023I just called to make a reservation and have never been treated so badly by the woman who answered the phone. I told her I would like to make reservations for 3 RV and asked if I could get spots on the water said abruptly said, "NO, you are lucky to get a spot at all!". Then sweetly said "but I can get you together". When she asked about our dog she said, "We don't accept German Shepherds and no one else around here will either". I said OK and then she hung up on me. I understand their policy but she could have simply said I am sorry we cannot accommodate you.
For a business that is in the hospitality field this is inexcusable and in all my years of RV'ing I have never been treated this poorly. Glad we were unable to get a reservation.

Beautiful RV park, friendly staff! Great location!!! Definitely will be coming back here!!
Blackwell Island is the nicest place we’ve stayed yet in our travels, filled with expensive class A and bus conversions. For $62 a night, double what we typically pay anywhere else, I suppose we should expect that. The park was well cared for with nice laundry and showers, plus fast wifi. It’s right on Lake Coeur d’Alene, with a pleasant beach for hanging out. Paddleboats and pontoon boats were available for rent, which we would have taken advantage of had we stayed longer. The highlight of the park for the kids was a BMX track out back by the dog run. That alone earns them the 4th star in our book. The kids had a great time on it, and we had somewhere to send them for a little quiet time of our own.
We are a family of four traveling in a 33-foot motorhome. Here's what we're looking for: A playground, stuff for the kids to do, somewhere to ride my mountain bike, beautiful scenery, fire rings, plenty of separation between us and neighbors, shaded and private sites, easy to get in and get level, electric hookups, water and dump station on site, clean showers, and not terribly expensive.
I took a star away mostly for being an RV park, and for being expensive. As with most such parks, you’re jammed in pretty close to your neighbor, and there’s little or no shade in the sites. We did get a site in the Gazebo area, which gives you a little more space, and our spot faced right out onto the water, so we got lucky in that regard. Such ‘waterfront’ sites are in a higher price tier. We didn’t appreciate the subpar playground, or the lack of fire rings in the sites. We had to break the rules in order to let our kids ride their bikes around the park, though no one harassed them for it.
Finally, because we don't travel with a separate car, this park feels a little hemmed in. There's really no where to bike or walk to, as you have to immediately cross or walk on the busy US highway right outside.

I am here in the early season, so the park was empty and quiet.
~appreciate the permission to wash the rv at the site
~the park has wonderful green space.
~access to the river w/ rental equipment.
~a short walk path that meanders through the trees and along the river.
~an off leash area and a dedicated beach for your dog.
~it is across the street from a small trail/park/boat launch that has a nice boardwalk to meander on, but you do have to sprint across a busy road if you opt to walk.
~in the other direction you can walk your dog toward a marina and restaurant. I did it in the morning, so I could let Millie walk off-leash. Employees and the marina were friendly.
~the park staff I met were very personable and friendly. They were new to the park.
~if you are around in June and August you'll be on the Ironman bike course, so be aware of the restrictions and entertainment.

We stayed here for the 4th of July and stayed in the pull throughs in the circle directly when you enter the park with water views. We lucked up and got a last minute pontoon boat rental for the day at a rate hundreds of dollars cheaper than all the other rental companies. They have very well maintained grounds and a little beach with chairs and umbrellas for relaxing. Staff is very nice and you can also get very inexpensive kayak and canoe rentals as well. I would definitely recommend staying here as you cant have a better access point to downtown and the Lake living on an RV.

This RV Park is well located near the major highways, and close to downtown Coeur d'Alene. Overall, we felt like the park would be sufficient for making a short visit to the area. The park is clean. Sites are gravel, narrow, and are very close together. Interior roads are narrow, and many cars and tow vehicles had to park partially on the roads. Our tow vehicle would not fit on the pad, so we had to park it partially on the grass area next to the site. The majority of the individual sites did not have any landscaping or shade trees, to break up the "parking lot" feel. We found that the park's wifi was weak, with constant dropping of the signal (using a signal amplifier). There was road noise from Route 95 (although the noise quieted down during the evening), and from the Marina that is located next door. There was construction activity at the Marina (right after the Memorial day weekend), with truck and equipment noise starting early in the morning. Overall, we felt that this is an average park, and very expensive ($55 per night and up) for the size of the sites, lack of landscaping, inadequate wifi, and the "parking lot" feel. It would not be a park where we would want to spend an extended period of time.

We love this park. We stayed in mid-July It is fun, in a great location, well kept and a great place to meet up with friends or vacation. The downside is that they charge $5 extra per person, per night if you have more than 2 people in your party. If you are on vacation and want to utilize the property for such, than it is worth budgeting this in. Otherwise, it is a very pricey stay, if you have kids in tow. We loved lounging on the beach along the river and being close to town. This is also a great place for kids with plenty of room for them to roam and ride bikes around. There is even a small dirt bike trail. Our stay was great aside for the boat rental we had hoped for. We had family visiting us and had planned to rent a pontoon boat for the day, but the boat was out of service. It would of been nice if they had called us ahead of time, so that we could of made other arrangements. The park is closed October through March. They do not offer discounts or weekly/monthly pricing.

Campground was clean on the water and crowded. Nice place for families, not my cup of tea. WiFi was so slow as to be nonexistent. Little pricey but I guess if you want water. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Lots of barking dogs. Campsites are close together but adaquate. Good location close to town.

We were lucky to find an open spot on a 4th of July weekend.
The place is pack as expected.
The campground it self is clean and spacious.
The bathrooms are clean and the lake is beautiful.
On the negative:
Forget about the WIFI. It is very very slow.
