Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 08, 2018As I thought about all the criteria we use to rate RV parks, I realized this park has everything we look for. Yeah, there was no pool, but I did not find that important in Cody, Wyoming. They had a free trout fishing pond - even better!
The people were friendly and we got 10% off with Good Sam. Getting into the spot was simple and it was already fairly level. Quite busy on a Tuesday night - a good sign for them.
A community fire pit existed and we saw people using it - that was a nice touch.
Small playground for the kids but they had fun and had a nice time on the big swing from a tree. Other kids at the park made it enjoyable as well.
There was an actual dog run area that was fenced in and grass. This was such a nice surprise because most parks do not think about these areas.
The only thing was on the way out it is a tight turn to get out for our large rig, but we made it okay with no scratches.
You need to check this place out! Cool town as well, though we only were there 1 night and did not get to do much. Though it is overall a 5 star, I just mark 4 stars on location because it is outside the town. The town had a lot to do and a cool area you can walk around in, this takes you about 10-15 minutes drive out. Nice if you want quiet, but a little drive if you want the town.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the park and facilities. Sites and grass well maintained. Gave 3 stars because staff was not real friendly and had difficulty using laundry facilities. Staff was using the 2 washers and 2 dryers to wash linens for the tipis. These were tied up for 4-5 hours. Trout pond was very small, but we caught 20-30 fish. The WiFi was fantastic, kids were able to stream. Dog park was well maintained.

The campground is nice. The sites are clean and large enough if you get a pull through. The sites are all rock and difficult to walk in if you are older plus in the summer the rocks get extremely hot. However, the reason I give it three stars is because the owner and staff are very unfriendly. You are not welcomed when you arrive. Instead you are given a litany of rules in a not so kind tone and told if you break any you’ll be thrown out. 🙄 we hadn’t even said anything. Just not very hospitable. But for a day it’s a clean place to stay, it will do.
The location is on the north east side of Cody so if you plan on going to Yellowstone, your in for quite a drive.
The entrance is wide enough unless you meet another truck. Going around the far turns would be fine except guests park their trucks partially in the road which makes turning quite difficult for a large rig.

Close to Cody, which was nice. We felt not being in one of the in-town packed KOA-style campgrounds would give us more nature and space—this did not exactly satisfy either. Views are pretty, but no access to the river, and the trout pond was low on water and covered in slime. They nickel and dime you for extra people (our kids), so price gets high. Just don’t see any value for what you pay over and above more standard rates. Good for the owners if people are willing to pay (and they are, as it was crowded) though we most likely will try somewhere else next time. Opposite side of town from the rodeo too.

We needed a place with strong cell signal so I could work and close to the Shoshone and NE Yellowstone NP area for The Man to fish. It did the trick! Our first choice was close/in town but it was booked. Yes, the rates were high but the area is in high demand. It was a fun and fairly safe/easy bike ride into town. I was working on east coast time and generally start early, so I had some pretty fantastic sunrises.
