“a No frills park”
For a no-frills park, you can't beat this one. Clean, friendly, and full-hookups. Cody is a very expensive area. Considering that, this park is a real bargain. You'll want to stay here again after you leave you'll be thinking about Absaroka for a long time.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 12, 2022Nice place to stop. It is clean and offers the basic services for anyone with an RV. The facilities are more appealing to older travelers or those that spend more time exploring the area than hanging out at the trailer. The staff is friendly and allowed to check in a little early.
We camp here every time we visit Cody. If you want a basic, clean, reasonably priced, quiet, friendly people and easy access, this RV park will work for you.
All the parks in Cody are packed tight. And they're full. So you might as well stay here. The parking is level, but the grass strip was full of holes that you can't see - not fun to navigate. Sprinklers on every night while we were there, but the grass is green :-) Picnic table, no fire ring. Our awning was 8 inches from our neighbor. Clean and quiet, although the park is on the highway. Didn't check showers or laundry, but they have them.
Park WiFi worked great.
Nice staff. Good local information in the office. You don't come to Cody to sit at your site

Very tight maneuvering, spots are close together with a tiny strip of grass between. Other than that, it is clean and nice, with good access to the highway into Yellowstone. DW says she would not spend a week here, but would spend a night again.

The other reviews are accurate; tightly spaced sites and the interior roads are barely navigable with a 40' MH + toad. FHU's, level, gravel sites, restroom/showers are "rustic" but clean, and easy access off the highway. Noise is bearable, between traffic and neighbors talking, and be prepared for the sprinklers to come on every night. This is not a "camping" destination, no activities within the park, but is geared toward being a base camp for local exploration such as Yellowstone N.P., Beartooth Hwy., Buffalo Bill Center of the West, & Buffalo Bill Dam/Reservoir, to name a few. In getting here, it seems the whole GPS system, whether using your phone, your stand-alone, or whatever, goes wacky and unusable at times. Wifi in this part of the country is also slow and spotty, both AT&T and Verizon.

Can’t figure out why folks have stated they can’t navigate this park with a big rig. Drove to our site easily in our 42’ 5-Er. Had ample room to get into our site. No problems whatsoever, and there are plenty of other big rigs around. The site is shorter and more narrow than normal, but this is an RV park. You’re not camping here. Hookups are clean, well placed and in good shape, Steady power and water pressure, good gravel in the site and even nice irrigated grass! Adequate picnic table and nice grounds overall. This park is sort of close to the Cody airfield and a well traveled road. That said, the noise is really tolerable, and actually rather rare to hear inside the coach. It’s so convenient to town, groceries, and diesel. It can’t be more than 5-7 minutes to the museum. This park is really the best game in town, if you’re not dry camping in one of the Shoshone CG’s. Nice folks and they are running a nice park. Definitely worth staying here rather than paying crazy money across town. (Like $100/night to be closer to the Yellowstone end of town? There can’t be more than 12-15 minutes difference anyway. Not worth it.) Stay here, don’t let some of the reviews scare you away. We’ve had a great experience at least...

I stayed here for one night while passing through the area. My site e10 was adequate for my 19-ft trailer. I do think the sites are tight. a neighbor woke me up early because he was trying to exit and was unable to make the turn between a couple campers. Little patches of green grass and full hook up available. Decent internet service. There were large rigs present so I think the host placed you based on what they anticipate your needs will be.

Look. You are in a tourist town - this is what you get. Tight spaced RV Park. As long as you know that you are golden. We have a 37’ bumper pull with a long bed Ford and didn’t think it was any tighter than other parks. Has everything you need to get restocked, clean and dumped before heading out to explore Yellowstone. Or post Yellowstone.

Check in was fast. FYI take your RV license plate number in with you. Location is perfect for visiting Cody and also Yellowstone. It’s about a 45min to a hour drive just to Yellowstone East entrance. Highly recommend driving Chief Joseph Scenic Byway and Beartooth Highway. Only negative to report about this RV Park are the sites a close together.

This is a great and convent spot to stay while visiting Cody. The site was very level and clean. The bathhouse& showers were fine. The laundry was the most reasonable of the entire 5 week trip. It was $1.75 for wash I think. Make sure that you do a Buffalo Bill museum visit also visit the dam west of town.
