Lily Lake is part of the Rocky Mountain National Park, which during the busy summer months requires a timed-entry pass to visit, 9am-3pm. Otherwise, it's free to visit off-season, or off-hours. The Lake offers a level nature trail about 1-mile long around the lake and a ridge trail for some elevation with nice views to Longs Peak. It's a popular place for families and for quick walks, hosting nice flowers in the early summer. Also, lots of ducks, muskrats, red-winged blackbirds, and occasionally, a moose.
