“Listen to bluegrass along the Red River”
We held our first Bluegrass Festival in 1977, hosted by "The Russell Brothers" and Forest Meadows, the owner of the park. We have steadily grown into the main Bluegrass Music venue in Kentucky. Located in Powell County, KY, just outside of the Daniel Boone National Forest, Meadowgreen Park maintains it's original outdoor stage amphitheater along the beautiful Red River. This is one of the most historic and naturally preserved areas in Kentucky. The Red River Gorge is known for it's natural rock climbing areas and it's untouched beauty. In 1986, this 100 acre park added a barn like structure, known as the Music Hall. Since then, Meadowgreen Park has hosted some of the best of the Bluegrass music industry from Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley, to IIIrd Tyme Out and New South. If you are coming to the Bluegrass region there is no better place to experience Bluegrass music. Come listen to the heart beat of the Bluegrass from the only place you can experience the music, history and the beauty of our mountain music!
