“A Cincinnati Tradition Since 1865”
At Mecklenburgs you and your guests will enjoy the ambiance of our 19th century building, which is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The restaurant has the original Germanic architectural elements intact, including heavy timber beams, stained glass windows, fireplaces, immense mahogany bar and several wood paneled rooms. The 100 year old grape vines flourish in the outdoor gardens, creating a beautiful setting for an outdoor party from April through October. Additionally, our Banquet Haus has an antique oak bar, full service buffet table, wood dance floor and provides space for up to 100 guests. Please visit the Party Rooms for information of all our room offerings. Mecklenburg Gardens takes great pride in offering something for everyone. Our menu consists of everything from traditional German dishes to innovative American cuisine. Plus, our private party menus help you cater to your guests! Mecklenburgs also maintains an extensive offering of beer and wine: over 15 beers on tap and up to 80 bottled beers to choose from. Come join us for happy hour, always a happy hour price for drinks and selected appetizers! The Uber Terminator Challenge: Prepare yourself for a “super hot” mettwurst, weighing in at 2 pounds and stretching out over 30 inches PLUS 1/2 a pound of sauerkraut, 1/2 a pound of green peppers and onions and a 1 pound bun! If you can eat this in an hour your meal is free and you get a snazzy t-shirt (only a few people have been able to accomplish this).

I've always loved this place so it pains me to say it's just not worth dining here anymore. The menu is sparse. No longer can you get many of the German staples you would expect and used to be... Read more
Good food, good drinks, staff is nice. Parking is crap, find a spot on the street and hope for the best. Read more
The one thing all reviewers seem to agree on about this place is the atmosphere. This German restaurant has been continually running since 1856, and in a very German city, that's saying something. Sitting out in the garden, sipping cold beer under 100 year old grape vines, it's easy to forget the outside world. With fifteen craft beers on tap, and over 80 bottled, this beer garden is a must-try in Cincinnati. Read more
