“all you need under one splendid roof”
Our plan was to create an approachable yet swank cocktail lounge with an intimate vibe, that evoked the feeling of an eccentric neighbor's living room or a bohemian artist's hangout." says Frank Barron. "We wanted a place with an LA vibe but without the trendiness." The result is a "modern classic" style lounge. Only a "FB" crest outside lets you know you're in the right place. Upon entering you'll find a regal retreat, a baroque den of deep rich colors and luxurious materials. In the dimly lit FB's, comfort is foremost - mismatched Chesterfield sofas, tub chairs, ottomans and the oversized yellow chair, create intimate spots that cry out for conversation and give the space a whimsical feel. It's a world of fantasy where everything classic is looked at in a new way. The full height windows which overlook the downtown street, have been draped in long push black velvet curtains allowing drinkers to hide away and imbibe. Recessed lighting set below huge gold gilt mirrors, angled to reflect and enlarge the space, lend a modern edge to the classic backdrop of vintage wallpaper, candelabras, and oriental area rugs. Downstairs on the weekend, patrons can kick back in the Recreational Habitat, a retro bar with vintage furniture, juke box, free throw back arcade games and the famous Mug Club bar. Whether you're an uptown social or a downtown hipster, FB's has all you need under one splendid roof.
