“Promoting the rich history & traditions of the Reds”

Our core purpose is to record, preserve and promote the rich history and traditions of the Cincinnati Reds, honor on-field accomplishments and achievements, and create an everlasting memorial to baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. We also maintain a first-class facility where, through various dramatic educational exhibits, exciting initiatives, and special events, we ensure that noteworthy contributions to the Reds are properly recognized while inspiring and empowering new generations to achieve and perform to their highest potential.  Since that first ceremony over 50 years ago, the Reds Hall of Fame has experienced something of a rollercoaster ride, sometimes up, sometimes down, and sometimes not working at all. But with the opening of the new Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, the future looks promising for the glorious past of Reds baseball and its legendary players. The Reds were the second baseball team to form a Hall of Fame; the Cleveland Indians Hall started in 1951, but it soon went defunct, making the Reds Hall of Fame the oldest team Hall of Fame in baseball. It is also the largest with 71 members (including the 2006 inductees: Tom Browning, Lee May and Tom Seaver).

If you're a baseball fan, you owe it to yourself to check out one of the history of baseball's oldest team. They have tons of artifacts from every era of Reds baseball, from the 19th century to the Big Red Machine. If you go, see if you can take the ballpark tour as well, you won't regret it.
