Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 08, 2023Was looking for a place in Cheyenne over the weekend of the Fourth of July most every other place was full so we gave the county fairgrounds a call. Girls in the office were fantastic. I pre-paid by mail or you can visit them in the office. Fairgrounds were not being used and the place was empty. Had a great level site with water and electricity. there are numerous sites with power only in numerous sites with power and water. Nice treat area to sit a little out of the wind just a great experience would definitely come back again.

We liked the easy access right off I-80. Paid via email so didn’t have to check in anywhere.
Water and electric only…no amenities ie no bathrooms or showers. Kinda pricey but nothing else was available in the area. Don’t think we’d have stayed if there were an event going on. Lots of flies.
Be sure to follow your gps. The left turn is just past the roundabout.

Check in was smooth and I did not have a reservation although I called in advance, There is some noise from
I 80 which quiets down in the evening. Water and electricity are the amenities.

No one else was here, and there were no signs to get to our camping area. You have to drive 3/4 of the way around the circle and drive a short distance to a gravel right hand drive. You can see the electric boxes. Lots of room for pull throughs in section B. It's on the right side. A lovely park for children, and lots of room in an adjoining field to walk the dog. When there isn't an event going on, it's empty. The 12 miles from I-25 was the only drawback. I-80 is visible from the site, and there is a nice travel center for mostly truck drivers.

Cost is 35 for electric only, 40 for water and electric. We stayed at the water and electric side. Apparently there was a rodeo happening, but there were only 4 RVs here. You have to go to the main office, which is a Green and Cream colored building, to pay. Staff were super helpful and friendly.

Nice place for a winter stop over or if the weather is bad. My wife is a nervous passenger, glad to find this. Stayed in the electric side with 30amp power
