Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 02, 2021We loved this park and would definitely come again. Not all campgrounds have water or electricity. This one didn’t. We did fine with solar power; it was sunny and beautiful. It was a little unclear about whether we were allowed in the water and where, and if dogs were allowed in the water.
Our site was right on the lake, just steps away. If you’d rather have a little more breathing room, the sites away from the water on this campground are more spacious. Our site was sandwiched in between two families that knew each other and unfortunately, one of them had a slider that was literally inches from our picnic table. Not ideal or considerate. But we were only there one night.
The water is lovely, though a bit cold, even in July. The hiking is fantastic with many sights and vistas. Next time we’ll bring mountain bikes and kayaks. Definitely lots to do here. Note that you can rent paddle boards and kayaks but sadly the rental is closed Monday and that’s the only day we had! Plan ahead!!
