“beautiful & fun seasonal campsites”
It is a nice drive to campground and the staff was very friendly. Check in was very fast. The bathroom is clean. The campground as a whole is very clean. The sites were big . It is an all around nice campground atmosphere. The only downfalls were no tv hook up, and the pool closes to earl

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 12, 2023We stay here once or twice a year during spring and/or fall, and only when we can get Site 29 (Waterfront), which is our favorite spot. If you have a bigger rig we recommend getting Site 28 as there are two mature trees on Site 29 that might make it hard to position your rig to accommodate all slide outs/awning etc.
Sites are fairly level, but you will probably need a couple of leveling blocks if you don't have auto leveling.
In spring or fall this is a great campground if you want to enjoy peace and quiet matched with wonderful views and gorgeous sunsets. Pricing is the same all year round and in our opinion is too high for what you get during off season as the pool is closed and the office has very limited hours. They do offer a 10% military discount.
Cell service is weak 5G, better LTE (T-Mobile); it is enough to work on the web/check emails, but not enough to do Video Meetings or stream TV.
The main portion of the Campground are seasonal sites; a lot of them seem somewhat abandoned. Fortunately, the temporary sites are separate from the seasonal ones.
Because we only camp here during the off season we have never been able to use the pool. I personally don't think it very inviting or attractive as it is fenced in with an old chain link fence.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. Access to the campground is big rig friendly, though there are a lot (a lot!) of speed bumps on the long road leading up to the office. The campground is fairly remote, so you will definitely want to bring a vehicle to be able to reach the next town (beautiful Chestertown) or shopping. There's a gas station about 10 minutes away (Royal Farms).

For the $, I expected more. The roads are rough, the sites are undefined, and the permanent or seasonal sites look like an undesirable neighborhood. We were there to see friends in the area, but then a family death and we had to leave after 1 night. Despite an email and a voicemail, no one responded.

I reacted too quickly. I was contacted by the park and they nicely refunded the unused nights. Thank you.

The sites were small and on top of each other. A lot of older seasonal campers with a bunch of stuff in there sites. Definitely draws crabbers, fisherman etc since access to the water. Rules not followed as far as quite time nor courtesy to other campers. Camp store limited to items but Royal Farms not to far away.
