Giant Yard Bird

Unfortunately the restoration failed. The bird was improperly sealed from the elements and needs to be redone. Kind of a drag but still decent.

Boards were falling off. Overall it was unimpressive:(

Cute stop. No reason to worry about Covid. The bird is an easy pull off the road. I might would have walked around the flea market, but it was too early in the morning

Totally worth the detour if your wanting to take pictures with random stuff on the side of the road.

We always try and find unique art installations on our adventures! Make a point to stop at the Giant Yard Bird, quick stop, great pictures!

It seemed to be restored and in good condition. The surrounding flea market seemed to be run down (we didn't go inside) but it was a fun quick stop for a photo with the kids.

This was really stupid, and I loved it.

It is indeed a giant bird. When we went it was under construction so it looks more like Noah's Ark, though. The swap meet is seriously huge and a bit intimidating. Kind of a bummer most stands are only open Thurs-Sun...we went on a Monday. Be sure to go to the customer service center in the grocery store and get your $1 sticker or $20 ornament souvenir.
