“Your Database of Breweries and Beers”
Walkabout Brewing Company was established in 1997 in Central Point, Oregon by founder and head brewer, Ross Litton. A native of Perth, Australia, Ross has been a resident of Oregon for 21 years. Walkabout brews have traditionally been available primarily in Southern Oregon, however distribution has now been expanded to include Portland, Salem, Eugene and Corvallis. The beers can be found on draft in bars and restaurants and in bottles in stores and markets. In March, 2010 Walkabout began to bottle Worker's Pale Ale in 22oz bottles. Soon, Jabberwocky Strong Ale will also be available in bottles. Walkabout is distributed by Point Blank Distibuting in Portland, Bend and the Willamette Valley and Summit Distributing in Southern Oregon. Walkabout products are brewed in a 7 barrel brew house in Central Point, Oregon. Walkabout is currently in the process of moving to a larger facility in Central Point. The brewery is a manufacturing facility, dock sales are available to the public by appointment
