We hiked up and around Medicine Bow on a beautiful August day. Getting there at 8am, we parked at Mirror Lake and did the loop in a counter clockwise direction. Being form Houston, TX, we found the hike to be hard due to the 12,000 ft elevation at the top. However, the hard work was richly rewarded, with stunning views of the surrounding lakes. Distance around the trail is about 7 miles and took us about 4 hours.
