Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 06, 2022We arrived and the staff shows you where the site is & helped us level the camper they had boards they brought & put down, then told us to leave them when we left they will pick them up. We have our own but didn't have to pull them out.
Our site was big and on a little creek leading into the lake. We could see the lake from our site some sites are right on the lake. Great Kayaking, you can go up a river which was so peaceful.
We had a big grassy area behind our site with a fire ring, wish I had written down the site number.
Lots to do in the area, Sutton is a nice town, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, and lots of wineries. Boat house Farms Vineyards is on the water you can taste wine, buy a glass & sit out facing the water enjoying live music. Local picked Cherries everywhere for sale I'd never seen Cherry trees full of cherries before.
The bathrooms were clean, they do have a laundry room too. Boat ramp, beach, big weeping Willows.
We really love the campground and will go back one day.

We were late arriving but they had friendly staff that met us to check us in and guide us to our site (T). The site had full hookups and was considered to be one of the premium sites. It included electric, sewer, water, cable, and WiFi when it worked.
We were stationed near the boat ramp and had a beautiful shaded view of the lake. Our neighbors, most of whom were permanent campers, were nice. Daily visits by the local duck families were entertaining.
We enjoyed visiting the Sleeping bear dunes, Leland where we found a nice small quiet beach to swim in Lake Michigan. We also did two small trips to the light houses nearby and north of Travers City.

After cycling 30 rolling, scenic miles in Leelanau Cty., we pulled into our campsite with a personal escort asking us, “Is this going to work for you?” Yes ma’am it will! Steps from lovely Lake Leelanau, that reminds me of the Finger Lakes in western NY where I grew up. Shower house was clean and well ventilated and we enjoyed walking around the various lanes of seasonal campers after dinner. Fire rings, picnic tables, utilities if you need them and good service.

First time stay at Leelanau Pines, but it won't be my last that is for sure. Wonderful, pleasant, and very helpful staff. Outstanding location. Grounds well kept and clean. Just an overall great experience. I camped in my 86 VW Westfalia. Looking forward to my next stay.

Nice, large, shady lot with a beautiful lake view. Last lot on the road to the boat ramp. Lot next to us was empty 4 out of the 5 days we were there, and there is a big green space on the other side. Two walking paths near us. One leads to the beach & playground area. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Park caters to seasonal campers, and everyone seemed to know everyone else. However, that was a nice thing. Made for nice, well-kept lots with flowers, decks, etc. Everyone was very friendly. Seemed very safe, and we didn’t hesitate leaving things out while we were gone and overnight. The only downside was the Wi-Fi signal wasn’t very good, and T-Mobile cell signal was non-existent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & would have liked to stay longer. Would definitely like to go back!

We had a nice site near the boat ramp, i.e. close to the lake. It was a level spot on grass/ sand, with a picnic table and full hookups. Friendly campers all around (though some were disgruntled with new ownership). Pickle ball court was nice to have. Close to some great attractions (Sleeping Bear Dunes, M22, lots of wineries). Clean bathrooms, though because it was late in the season only one was open. We had great weather, so the stars seemed within reach. Only complaint is that they were storing the boat lifts opposite our site, making it difficult to pull out.

Some campers barely fit in their site. We had people walking through our site rather than walking on the road to get to the other side of us. We had the site near the creek next to the small cabins. The hookups are in the wrong place for a back in site!

Had an amazing time! We camped with 3 families and it was the best place for the kids to run around, play in the lake and sit by a campfire! We were not in the seasonal section but by the boat ramp so it was great! The facilities were very accommodating. We rented a pontoon boat that came with a tube too!
I would recommend a few things….the water is full of iron and turned our shower orange so make sure have a filter.
Confirm your power needs…we needed a 50 and they put us in a 30. Luckily my husband was able to install a 50 with the aid of the maintenance staff. Book a pontoon in advance.
Would definitely return! The cabins are also great!
