Cedar Grove Visitor Center is currently closed. In summer, the visitor center is open 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The visitor center generally closes after Labor Day weekend. The road into to Cedar Grove is open until noon on November 12. Until November 12, wilderness permits can only be obtained from the Roads End Permit Station at the end of Highway 180. Outside of the quota season, permits are self-issued and are located in a drop box just outside of the station.
