Welcome to Cedar Canyon Retreat, ideally situated just 5 miles up the canyon from the charming town of Cedar City, Utah. Our retreat rests along Highway 14, a picturesque Scenic Byway that meanders through Cedar Canyon, offering glimpses of Southern Utah's rich geologic history. This route ascends to 9,000 feet, leading you to remarkable destinations like Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian Head Ski Resort, Navajo Lake, the Duck Creek recreational area, Kolob Canyons, and Three Peaks Recreation Area. Highway 14 also seamlessly connects with US Highway 89, providing convenient access to the renowned Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, ensuring your adventure possibilities are endless. Close to Cedar City and at the base of Dixie NF. Sweetest views are just up 14, with several scenic routes within 20 miles.

Stayed here overnight on the way to Yellowstone. Great small campground, with water, electric and sewer hookups. Would definitely stay here again on a trip to the area.

Beautiful scenery and easy access to Cedar City and National Parks. Hosts were friendly, site was fairly level, and amenities were great. We enjoyed two small nearby trails.
Cell service is non-existent, and water pressure was very low at our site. Some sites are more private than others. We did, however, have an overall great stay and would visit here again!

It is hot in July in Utah. I drove from Coalsville. It was hot last nite. Looking forward to a good nites rest.
Started up the private road. It is 2 miles. My GPS tells me that I won't make it because I'm wider the 8.5 feet and the last of the road was (one lane) smaller than that. At least my truck Garmin GPS recommended that I not try that road. I did start 1/4 mile. Found a wide area to turn around and call them. They were nice on the phone but would only refund 1/2 of my fees due to late timing. If I could have made it up the gravel road I would have. I will dispute the charges with my credit card company. It does not mention on the listing that if you are a large RV you can not stay here. They asked for the size in the resv. You would have thought that they would have knows.
P.S. I have no problems with mountain roads. Grew up on them and have traveled the USA with trailers and RV. If I would have known of the problem, I never would have booked.
Anything over 25 feet would not make it up the road. Anything wider than 8.5 feet would also not make it up the road.

For being only 5 miles from busy Cedar City, the Retreat was like being in a different world, other than the light traffic sound on the highway. Well maintained and just plain beautiful. 40' 5th wheel was a bit challenging, but we will definitely come back.

Large private sites, beautiful scenery, close to town but far enough out to be "away". Easy to get in and out of. I had NO service with Verizon, didn't use the campground WIFI since we don't need the internet while camping.

BEWARE - BE SURE TO CONFIRM YOUR SITE IS STILL WHAT YOU RESERVED. THEY MADE CHANGES WITH NO NOTICE. I made return reservations in Dec 2023 for Memorial Day weekend for a long pull through. Sometime between making the reservation and May 2024, the owners decided to turn the ONE pull through campsite into TWO back in sites with no notice. I cancelled for that reason (what I reserved was no longer what I reserved) two weeks before the reservation date. The cancellation policy does state there is an 8.00 cancellation charge, but I felt/feel that because THEY made changes to what I reserved, my reservation was no longer valid due to THEIR change not mine. I requested to cancel and asked them to waive the 8.00 cancellation fee since what I reserved was no longer available. It was THEIR change, NOT MINE. THEY REFUSE to waive their fee even though they are to blame. It's not the 8.00, it's the principle. Fortunately I was able to find someplace else for a holiday weekend with two weeks notice. They obviously choose money over customer service. BEWARE.
The owners opened this property May 2020 and have really done a great job! It is so close to so many activities. We arrived late and had an issue getting our Class C level in spot 18 and the owners were very accommodating in getting us moved to spot 15 where we were able to level on a few blocks. We were close to the bathrooms which ended up being great for our crew of 6. The bathrooms are kept very clean. The owners are constantly working on the property and making improvements. My only suggestion is that if you have a big trailer or rig (30 ft +), call to book to make sure you can fit and get level. We saw 2 other larger rigs pull in and then immediately leave because they couldn’t get level. The owners are very knowledgeable about the property and certainly help select a spot for the larger rigs. All in all, great place and a great location!

We had the best time at Cedar Canyon Retreat (July 2020). Our campsite was great and we loved the overall appearance and set up of the campground. The owners/managers were wonderful and very helpful. The location of the campground couldn't be better as we felt like we were in the mountains but only minutes away from the city. We would love to return and stay longer.
