Close just down the road from the Fort Casper Museum. The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center is about 5 miles away. There is fascinating history to be found at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum. The WVMM is located at the Casper airport which in WWII was built for training of heavy bombers, in this case the B24. The largest collection of base buildings still standing, the museum is in the enlisted servicemen's club in addition to the historical memorabilia the walls have original mural artwork done by 4 of the airman on the base that traces the history of the west. Simply wonderful. And in pristine condition.

We just came from a boondocking trip and we needed hookups. That's what we got... for 40$. Not the best bargain in town but we were able to drain our waste waters. Sites on gravel, and neighbours a few feet (I should say inches) away. Wifi is fast but the signal is weak (depending on where yopu are located on the site... I should buy a Wifi booster). Quiet.

We stayed here because it was close to family. It is basically a very large gravel/mud parking lot. No green space. Even the pet runs were sand and gravel. The sites are very close together. The staff was very accommodating as we needed to stay a couple of days longer. They were very helpful in recommending someone to help us with a problem in our RV. The campground is very close to sights to see in Casper.

This is campground has about 86 RV sites and 10 tent sites. Most of the people are either permanent residents or longer-term (monthly) stays. The grounds could use a little trimming and cleanup but there are quite a few dumpsters and even aluminum can recycling. The offer secured wifi and cable hookup for free. There is also laundry (uses quarters) 4 washers and 4 dryers.
I called to reserve a spot and when I hesitated at the cost I was offered electric-only for the $22 rate. I asked about dumping and filling and was told to just use what's at the site, so I was parked in a full-hookup site and only hooked up to dump or fill. I'm not sure if they offer electric-only often, they don't advertise it, but I was happy to get it.
The location is closes to Casper town, although there's really not much to see here. There is almost every store you'd need, 2 Super Walmarts, Home Depot, fast food, etc. The campground has an outstanding view of the mountainside.
Generally quiet, you may here a distant train whistle in the evening.

The campground is kind of like a huge parking lot with hook-ups but very quite and clean.
The bathroom and shower area is dated but very clean. All sites are level and the camp host was very friendly. There was a microwave coffee pot, and toaster oven available for free use. Plus books and movies to borrow. We would definitely stay here again to come and explore the Casper area.

Thankfully we only booked one night! The owners/managers were very pleasant but this park is for long-term residents. Only a couple rigs were travelers. The grounds could use a healthy dose of cleanup. Vodka bottles, trash scattered on the grounds, flower beds hadn't been weeded and grass was not mowed. The dumpsters were overflowing and it was a Saturday over a long weekend. The dumpsters probably wouldn't be dumped for several days. I walked into the restroom and walked out! Signs on all the walls telling you to do those things your mother should have taught you to do a looonnng time ago.
If you are just looking for hookups so you can sleep over night, stay here. But otherwise, mosey on down the road.

We stayed for a quick 1 night and had full hookups. The campsite was unremarkable but staff was very friendly. And, if you can overlook the basic gravel site with very few trees, this place has some nice characteristics. It's tucked away behind a small industrial area and empty lots - but you get there through the entrance of a charming town park, which also happens to be the starting point of the North Platte River Trail. Good for running, walking, and biking. (I think it's 5 miles, total.) One side of the RV park borders the Platte River, which is lovely. There are some strict rules about where your dog can walk and poop. But for a one night stay this place is solid, and easy to get in/out of Casper, WY.

More-or-less centrally located in Casper, WY this RV park has a fairly large contingent of long term residents with several pull through sites for regular travelers. The park is part of the Izaak Walton Wildlife Preserve.
This campground is conveniently located in central Casper, not far from the fair grounds and shopping. It's a short walk to the North Platte River. Keep in mind that this is more a campground and not a resort.
Nights were very quiet. Our site was paved with gravel. We travel in a class-A motor home and are pretty much self contained; so I can't really comment on the quality of the park's amenities. The office staff was nice and cordial to us when checking in.
I would definitely stay here again.
