Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on February 15, 2023As I read Chris & Cherie's review from 2015, it seems like nothing has changed much. The sites are basic, level and graveled with a mix of small- and large-grade gravel... easy to level on, not so easy to walk in bare feet on :)
As previously mentioned, the power and water are situated between sites, which means our site was one where the hookups were on our curb-side instead of our road-side, but by running the hose and power cord under the rig I was able to reach both without a problem. Thankfully, the sewer hookup is on the road-side of the rig where it belongs.
The people are all very nice, though they did lose our reservation which we had made just two days prior to showing up. They found us a spot, but it's pretty busy here this time of year so there was a real possibility of not getting one. All's well that ends well.
The amenities are clean and well-maintained, as is the whole park. One thing I will mention is that the roads are pretty tight, especially at the ends where you have to go up and pull around to the next street to park in the right direction for that row. Our rig is 42' + tow'd for a total of 62'... we would not have been able to make the turn if there had been a rig parked in the last spot. Maybe they leave it open on purpose for that very reason, I don't know, but I'm glad it was empty so I didn't have to disconnect.
By far the best thing about this place, aside from it being clean and friendly, is the price. With Passport America it was as real bargain at just $15 a night. Like Chris & Cherie we're only here a few days to refresh tanks between boondocking stays, and this park is perfect for that purpose.

Clean and incredibly friendly. This resort is not real fancy. We did experience some problems with the electricity on our row. Parking management was aware of the electrical problems and was trying to get that resolved.
The staff members are the friendliest people we’ve ever met.
Small sports facility, small pool, spa, library, lounge, laundry room.

Staff was nice. Clean campground with very clean pool, hot tub and laundry facilities. Gave it 4 stars because sites a little too close together and sewer pipe was not secure in the ground.

I called this place to get a room and they said they don’t take kids and very rude about it. We just needed a 1 night sleep over. There web site says nothing about this.

We were looking for a place to stop for a month in February for some repairs and service to our RV, and were lucky to find this park. Since it was the busy season, they had only a few spaces available. We prefer more rustic or boondocking locations, so we don't usually camp at parks. High Chaparral was a pleasant surprise, and we really enjoyed our stay there. The people and and staff there were all friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of activities, and the pool and shower areas were all neat and clean. The only negative was our cell phone and internet coverage (Verizon) was poor, and almost unusable for anything other than phone calls during the day. If we are ever in need of a place to stay in that area, we would definitely stay again!

We stayed here in January of 2021
We just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights and we wanted to use our Passport America membership to save money. High Chaparral was only $20 per night with the Passport discount. It is a really nice campground with fantastic facilities. We enjoyed catching up on laundry, lounging in the hot tub and swimming. This campground far exceeded our expectations!

First, I haven't stayed there but I've driven by and looked in. High Chapparelle gets high marks by most of the reviewers here and they have stayed there, so they know first-hand what it's like. What I saw looking in was a bunch RV'S packed into small sites; very little vegetation or greenery; an uninteresting parking lot layout in a flat, desolate location which is Arizona City... a wide spot in the road near Eloy, which is a wider spot with many buildings boarded up and a deserted sort-of look. This is my $.02 on this park never having stayed there. Just giving my opinion and not trying to sling mud.

The park is fine but nothing special or especially appealing. The pool & laundry were clean. The sports area looked good. The office staff was just okay, not welcoming or informative. She didn’t tell us anything about activities going on or about the amenities. It’s a mix of park models & RVs. The spaces are just gravel & dusty, no tables or fire pits. Strange hook-ups, our water & electricity was in our neighbor’s site. Every other site had to run the water hose & electric plug under their rig. Some road noise. Not a lot nearby. The area looks a bit run down.

Verizon speeds are very poor at 3Mbps upload and 1 down at near peak time, even with cellular band locking with speeds usually worse than that. T-Mobile speeds vastly better at 75/8. AT&T speeds were unusable. Verizon/TMobile speeds taken with a roof mounted Pepwave antenna. AT&T with a smartphone
It's a dump station that you can sleep at as another reviewer put it. Mix of park models and others. Sites are basic gravel and level but are all perpendicular to the access roads. The electric was on the wrong side for us since it's a shared post. Water/sewer was on the correct side.

We used our Passport America membership to find this spot to refresh the holding tanks in-between boondocking adventures. For this purpose, the park is just fine.
Super friendly & helpful staff and lots of options for easy in/out pull through spots.
The park itself is kinda basic - typical side-by-side lot parking arrangement. Every two sites shares an electrical & water hook-up, so you may get a site where you have to 'cross your hoses' under your RV to hook-up. Sewer is on the left side for each spot however.
Their laundry center (very clean) and heated pool & hot tub (also super clean) are open 24/7 - which we loved. We did our laundry late at night while enjoying a relaxing soak.
They also have a huge area dedicated as an adult play area - horse shoes, putting range and a bowling ball pool table thing. Kinda quirky and fun to discover!
All and all.. for 'sleeping at a dump station' - this place was a pleasant experience. Probably wouldn't stay here long term, but for a night or two... it's a-ok.
