“A 1980s hand-built, very large, colorful green dragon with tiny wings”
Was used to advertise a Fireworks store that burned down. Now there is a General Dollar store in front of it
Easy spot from the highway if headed west. We stopped for a pic and got gas.
The dragon is now located behind Dollar General
Not as "sketchy" as claimed. And has his ear! Pretty cool stop to get out and stretch legs.
Used this as something to look forward to on a long road trip south. It did not disappoint. We talked it up throughout the trip (only 2 more hours until the green Dragon etc) and my teens were willing to play along! They all jumped out when we reached the Dollar General and we traipsed around back. The grass was cut and the area pretty clean aside from pallets and typical behind store “stuff”. We took several selfies, grabbed snacks at the DG and got back on the road. Easy stop!
This can be seen from Interstate 75 which runs behind the Dollar General - and yes, it is in fact missing an ear.
It is behind the Dollar General, you have to walk around to see it. Weeds are all grown up around it, but still pretty cool.
Gave us a nice break from our travels. We called it part of a Scavenger Hunt.
Easy stop, right off the exit and can get snacks and gas. Right behind dollar general. Easy photo op.
Disgusting, cigarettes everywhere, trash everywhere.
It’s not very worth while seeing that there isn’t a path or way to drive up to it…If you pass by on the interstate you can see it better
