“a lodging haven for Grand Canyon travelers for nearly a century”
For nearly a century the Cameron Trading Post has been a Grand Canyon lodging haven for travelers, traders, vacationers and explorers who come from all points of the globe. Just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon National Park entrance, our location is ideal for Grand Canyon hotel and lodging accomodations. But the Cameron Trading Post is more than an Indian lodge or Grand Canyon hotel. Established in 1916, the Cameron Indian Trading Post has become a showplace for fine Native American art and Southwest art. The unique central location of our Grand Canyon lodging is perfect for exploring the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Native American Indian Country, but there is much to see right here. Our Gallery, with its beautiful and unique Native American Indian decor, houses some of the finest Native American Indian art in the Southwest, both contemporary and antique Indian art including Navajo rugs, Hopi kachinas, and Pueblo pottery. Our Gift Shop offers a wide selection of Southwest art, Native American art, and Southwestern decor. Visitors are surprised to find the suspension bridge spanning the Little Colorado River Gorge - the river pathway to the Grand Canyon - behind their hotel lodge and delighted at the view. Our charming Gardens also are an unexpected pleasure. Inside the Indian lodge you can grab a snack in the Market or sit down to a meal in our Restaurant that boasts antique furnishings, a huge fire place, and a beautiful pressed tin ceiling. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner our restaurant offers the perfect respite to enjoy your meal surrounded by antique luxury, beautiful Native American Southwest art, and the view of the Little Colorado River Gorge outside the windows.

Pull into the lot, it’s first come first serve, park your rig and walk/drive across the street to check in. The RV spots were easy enough for my 40’ bus to get into. Sewer line in my spot was a little high off the ground, making flow a slight issue. There is water and 30amp power, no internet.

Downside, no WiFi and our phone had no signal. Upside, easy access, level sites and you pick your own. There is a tunnel under the highway for getting to the trading post. The garden is really nice and can get WiFi. We did tour the area.

It’s a decent campground. It has all the hook ups (only 30 amp). Perfect to stay a couple of nights and leave. The cellphone signal is terrible though and the wifi is far away from the rv parking spots.

It’s right off the highway and only $34 a night (July). Williams and Flagstaff were all too expensive for a place to sleep. No reservations but we arrived at 6 and it was almost empty. Good areas to walk your dogs.
You check in across the street. There’s a large souvenirs store, restaurant, gas station, post office and a hotel.

We stayed here for a quick trip into the south rim. 30 amp service only and sewer hookups were set way to high! The biggest drawback was the dogs barking all night in the trailer park right next to the RV park.

We stayed here while traveling from western Colorado to southern AZ. As others have stated, the park is on the east side of the highway, but you check in at the general store on the west side.....no big deal to walk across after you have selected your site. We were there in mid-October and it was left than half full. Most of the occupied sites looked to be permanent or semi-permanent residents. I was able to get our 40' class A into a site with little effort, but we did unhook the tow vehicle first. Sites are not all that level, but worked for an overnight. The overall feel of the place is a bit tough; could definitely use a makeover. We had FHU but the sewer connection was so much higher than my outlet that I didn't bother trying to hook up for just one night. We would stay again if traveling this route, but mainly to avoid the sub-par/overpriced parks in Flagstaff.

We stayed here for one night out of necessity. I’m not one to post a negative review on a place, but this one was awful! They treated us terrible because we were white. It’s on an Indian reservation. There is no phone service, no bathrooms or showers. Would not stay again.

Well, we tried to get in one of the many spots available but having to lock into 4wd to get turned around because of the mud, we abandoned the notion and went back to the truck stop at the round about for the night. It would have been a very muddy mess had we stayed.
Some sites can be tricky to get in. Also, it’s right on the Hwy and bridge, so I know there would be plenty of road noise.

This is not a resort, not even an RV park. It is however a super easy and adequate place to spend a night or two in a beautiful area. The sites are short so if you're more than 32' you're likely going to stick out on one end. But it's never full and people just drive around you. We've stayed here a couple times because it's in a good stopping location between many destinations. And it's great for visiting the Little Colorado and the east side of the Grand Canyon. With the lodge, restaurant and huge trading post across the highway (where you check in) you can find local treasures and a good meal.. Fuel just up the highway. You are on the Navajo Nation here and they are wonderful about COVID safety. You aren't entering anywhere without a mask and hand sanitizing. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful.
Some sites are less level but you can tell by looking and you get to choose which one you want. Most sites have FHU, 30 amp. Raked dirt, very few weeds. I imagine it gets muddy when it rains, it's dirt. Very quiet at night. Security on site. Easy satellite access from all sites.
Pretty drives in all directions. Tasty Navajo Tacos at the restaurant.
