Point Reyes National Seashore is located about an hour's drive north from the San Francisco Bay area. The Seashore offers spectacular hiking and biking trails through dense forests and grasslands and along expansive sand beaches and coastline. There are also scenic drives to vistas with beautiful views of the rugged northern California coast. The Seashore has a visitor center, several historic sites €“ including the Point Reyes Lighthouse, 150 miles of hiking/biking trails, several beaches, amazing wildlife viewing and camping in four remote/primitive tent-only campgrounds (Sky Camp, Coast Camp, Glen Camp and Wildcat Camp).Point Reyes National Seashore Coast Camp has 14 primitive tent-only (walk-in) campsites. The camp is located on an open grassy bluff about 200 yards above the beach. Sites 1-7 are in a semi-protected valley surrounded by low brush. Coast Camp offers easy access to an expansive sand beach with sweeping views of the coastline.
