Lake Piru Olive Grove Campground

Very nice place to stay for a bit. We were there in winter and it was still very nice. We wanted to make a hike but we couldn’t really find any trails, except a very long one which starting point was not accessible by car. We saw some deer and there is also a bear in the area.

Lake Piru Recreation area is located in Ventura County in the Los Padres National forest. The lake is very large and offers a wide variety of water sports and outdoor activity including fishing, boating, water skiing, wake boarding, kayaking, sailing, hiking, biking and other activities. There is also a 234-site campground ½ mile from the lake. A marina, camp store, and boating/equipment rentals are available. The lake and campground are popular on weekends and in the summer months.
