We loved this stop on our way through. It takes less than an hour, and the buildings are pretty cool. The kids liked it a lot too! I strongly suggest it. Also, stop by the carousel in town also!
Neat early 20th Century artifacts. Not kid friendly.

This was a fun and informative stop. Nice gift shop, too.
This was so much better than I expected. There are many authentic pioneer buildings, each with numerous antiques from that era. Want to see a sod house? printing press? post office? jail? covered wagon? There are these and much more. Buildings have a button you can press to learn about it. Allow a few hours for it so you can take your time.
My boyfriend and I visited and had a great time exploring the buildings. Not all of the little boxes that explained the building worked so that was a bit of a bummer, but they had descriptions to read in addition to the boxes, so we didn’t miss out. A great collection worth seeing and I liked learning about the history of the location. It can be gone through quickly or you can spend hours, there is a lot to read if you have the time. Nicely put together.
Fun little stop!
We (2 adults) did not enjoy it as much as we thought we would, having been to places like it elsewhere in the country. Felt more geared towards children -
however, we were there at the same time as a class trip of kids ages 8-10 were, so perhaps it feels different at other times.
Museum has several buildings to review, plus a main building with gift shop. You can tour the main building for free or pay to see all. A great view into the turn of the century.
