This is a great dump and water spot. No fee, donation box available. Multiple lanes and ample space to move through. This and the similar spot in Burgess Junction make camping in the Big Horn wilderness easy and pleasant.
Looks great; I assume this opens again in spring.
We checked 2 weeks ago & it was closed, but is open now, 7-5-23. 4 lanes so probably never a wait. Includes potable water with good pressure to fill your RV tank and is far enough away from the dump to prevent some idiot from using the potable water hookup to rinse his sewer hose. They ask for donations, but no specific charge. Within a mile of the Canyon Creek Road dispersed camping area, so very convenient on HWY 16.
We dumped early morning on September 15 when the temperatures were below freezing. Surprisingly the dump was still open. I’m sure that’s not going to be the case shortly. The sewer water was frozen, so we carefully used our trailer water.
Next you move forward to the fresh water and fortunately we were able to get one one of the fresh water spigots to work.
The dump has three lanes all with a sewer dump hole & water and a separate freshwater fill-up.
The dump is free, though they ask for donations to help with upkeep. We left a small donation.
One note, they need to fill some fairly large dirt holes in all three lanes. But the dump is, otherwise, well-kept, clean, easy to use and easy to access for all size rigs.
Great spot to use after camping in the Big Horns. We donated in the box but many people who dumped while we were there didn’t 😢
