We were in site 4, which had plenty of sun for our solar panels, but the rest are well shaded. Water spigot was across from us. Very clean and well-maintained. All sites are along a roaring creek, which we enjoyed, but if you are hoping for quiet to hear the birds, forget this place. Hiking trails nearby. Close to route 16. Other campgrounds are nearby if this one is full. Route 16 south from route 90 is not for wimpy tow vehicles. We want to come back and spend more time in the gorgeous Bighorn Mountains.

Our site was located on the banks of Clear Creek and had a very private sandy beach for us to sit in our camping chairs near the water. Beautiful, tall trees surrounded our campsite. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Occasionally an ATV would go through the campground creating a little noise and dust, but it wasn't bad. It certainly wouldn't deter me from staying again. The campground is located near the Cloud Peak Skyway, a scenic byway that is worth seeing. The campground does have vault toilets, drinking water, and trash cans. I didn't visit the vault toilets but the campground was very clean and well maintained.

We adored our stay here...as soon as we arrived, the kids embarked on an epic rock scramble (awesome hill of boulders right across from our site) and we checked out the stream running right behind the campground. Beautiful forests, a lovely nature walk that takes you up to an open meadow with epic mountain views (cue the "Sound of Music" soundtrack), super clean vault toilets, lots of space between sites, relatively straightforward access road (a bit bumpy but nothing that was not navigable). Overall, this was a wonderful campground in a gorgeous, natural setting -- this is the kind of place that reminds us why we camp! Five stars!

Great little campground. Had some concerns about access with a 36’ Class A with a tow vehicle but had no problem at all. We were site 9, the westernmost near the end of the road but found a generously proportioned loop turn around where we could detach the tow vehicle and position the coach for a back in setup.
The site itself presented some challenges and spotting the coach and getting it leveled and slides out took 30 minutes or so but we loved the site and it’s lroximity to the creek.
This is dry camping at its best, plenty of separation from your neighbors. Have no idea what the toilets were like, we used our own facilities owing to the current pandemic.
Would gladly camp here again.

A new favorite, gorgeous campground with sites backing up to a babbling creek. So quiet and peaceful. Cleanest vault toilets I’ve ever seen. Spacious sites with ample room for living area. Hiking right from the campground or a short drive away. Recommend the hiking at Circle Park, only a mile down the road. Cattle everywhere, my husband even found one outside the bathroom! Only downside is the dirt road in the campground. There are private cabins at the end of the campground road (worth the walk, very pretty) so there is a fair amount of road traffic which contributes to the dust clouds. But a minor inconvenience to stay in such a beautiful place.

We stayed here on a whim based on other reviews and we’re so glad we did! This is the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed, and we’ve travelled from Glacier NP to Yellowstone to the Smoky Mountains. We were a little nervous when we turned down the dirt road, but we were not disappointed. We have a 20-foot van and a 37-foot travel trailer, and we had no problem getting in or out of this campground. There’s a turnaround at the end of the campground, but site 6 is angled the right way to get into without turning around. Our kids loved playing in the creek and on the rocks, and we loved seeing deer and hearing wolves howl! We will come here again, for sure!

This is a great campground to experience the Big Horns yet only 15 min from the cute town of Buffalo. There are only 11 sites all of which are near the middle fork of Clear Creek. We stayed in Site 7 which easily accommodated our 25' Airstream and 20' tow vehicle. We saw several other travel trailers, Class B's and even a Class A. The sites are nicely separated and it was very quite the entire time.
We could not get any cell service on Verizon or AT&T even with the WeBoost. My Pepwave could not get any service on AT&T or T-Mobile. So if you really want to get away from it all but not be too remote this is your place.

Happy to get this site unreserved. It was so close to the creek, private with sun and shade. The camp ground is at 7500’ so it cooled down the evening which was welcome in August. Some traffic due to the dozen or so cabins up the dirt road about 1/2 mile. Verizon cell at the hwy. Camp Host is at South Fork. Could have stayed a few more nights but did not plan for that this trip. Hiking opportunities in the area. Also ATV and Trail bikes if you have those.

On a 3 week trip, this was our favorite campground. It's nestled among pines along the creek with nicely spaced sites in a a beautiful setting. We stayed in site 6 based on a previous review. While all the sites are great, those sites after crossing the bridge seem best. Toilets were clean and potable water is available at a hand pump.
We visited some other campgrounds nearby but this campground was the nicest by far. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We visited the 2nd week in September, and the campground was always full while we were there.
Really nice, private place.
