“halfway between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone!”
Indian Campground & RV Park in Buffalo, Wyoming is located halfway between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park, at the junction of I-90 and I-25. We are an ideal stopping off point to visit the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, the Bighorn National Forest, and the Historic Bozeman Trail sites. We are also at the point where these two interstates meet up with the Cloud Peak Scenic Byway (also known as Highway 16). Easy off and easy on -- just 1/2 block west of I-25's exit 299. This is the shortest, safest and most scenic route to Yellowstone Park - with the least grade for those big outfits.

Nice campground with easy on and off to the expressway!
Campground has nice graveled pull throughs with a picnic table and beautiful trees. Full hookups. The site also had a nice grassy area which wasn’t mowed and looked untidy. Highway was nearby and I could hear, but I have heard worse.

Overall, a nice place. Our site was right next to the highway off ramp, but I'm sure other sites would be quieter. Good laundry, easy to find, and it has a pool. The sites are large, with well maintained trees throughout for shade. The front desk folks were competent and knowledgeable. Pretty good wifi, too.

Super easy in and out for an overnight. Kind and friendly customer service. The pool was being drained due to someone getting sick in the pool. Not a big deal. Excellent showers and plenty of washers and dryers. Nice stocked store.

This is a small, old park right off the freeway but no noise. Adequate site size. A few gas stations with stores within walking distance. It'll do for a one night stand. Friendly manager.

Great park in Buffalo, WY. While it is next to the highway the highway is above the park and very little noise in the park. Light traffic at night.
Everything was spotless. While there are numerous trees I asked about getting a spot with a satellite view and had no issue with my small tripod dish.
Buffalo is the home of the Longmire character. The author lives in another town but you will find a lot of Longmire stuff in the shops. Lots of history in the area and a wonderful museum.
Great places to eat if you want to go out.
Verizon was solid. 4 bars 60.45/14.25 Mbps down/up

Clean park with great staff. So much to do and see in the area it will keep you busy. Tall trees around most sites but are easy to get into. Pool, small playground, cable, laundry and wifi.

Staff friendly. Winding, narrow, somewhat rough interior roads. We almost couldn’t make the last turn into the weird site we were assigned. Our site, K7, angled in towards site K6. We were so close to them on the driver side it rendered their picnic table useless. Plus they couldn't extend their awning. There was loads of yard space on the passenger side. The site was fairly level but not enough to use the air levelers so we used the jacks. The WII FI is unusable. You can connect to the WII FI but you can’t get on the internet. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon 4g 3 bars. We heard traffic noise all night long – maybe the satellite friendly sites are more susceptible but it was extremely intrusive. We would not stay here again.

This is a neat and clean RV Park. Nice shade trees. Check in staff very friendly. Spot was level and easy to get in and out of for 27 ft Airstream. Free showers. Good stop over point. There is lots of road noise being by the highway and interstate.
