“wildlife from all over the world”
Bryce Museum is located near Bryce Canyon National Park, one of the most scenic areas in the country. Our exhibits focus on wildlife from all over the world. In addition to featuring wildlife exhibits, we also have artifacts from ancient Indians – like the Anasazi and Piute – that lived in this area. Our exhibits are excellent resources for learning about natural history and wildlife. The Museum is centrally located on Byway 12, considered one of the best scenic roadways by Car and Driver Magazine. Our facility features an amazing Natural History Museum, ATV Rentals for family fun, souvenir and convenience shops, and Bike Rental to allow you to experience the Red Canyon Bike Trail.
We stopped in on our way to Bryce Canyon and looked at the museum. It was all taxidermied animals. It was really interesting. I could have spent longer there. The owner was lovely!
Stay away from this place. Robert, the owner, is a total "Jekyll/Hyde" personality. Having ridden the trails around Bryce for many years, I planned a trip to the area to share its beauty with friends. 3 of the couples are experienced riders with their own equipment but one couple needed to rent a rig for two days. I called Robert months in advance of the trip and explained to him that I planned to take the group to Powell Point one day, laying out the exact route, having ridden it previously. IT is an easy trail. I explained that the trip might take 5 hours (his maximum rental time) but it might also take a little more time and I wanted to be sure that we could extend his 5 hour limit a little if that happened, of course paying for the extra time. We planned to leave at 9 when his business opened and be back well before his closing time in any event. After some discussion and my assurances regarding the experience of the group, he agreed that we would "work something out"
I called again just in advance of our trip and confirmed the content of our original conversation, also confirming that we might need a little extra time and again identifying the exact trails that I intended to take to Powell Point. He again confirmed that we would "work something out". I planned our trail itinerary accordingly, trusting him to keep his agreement with me.
When our friends arrived for the trip his story changed completely. He refused to rent the UTV for more than 5 hours and demanded that it be driven in the Paunsaugunt trail system only. The man lied to me. Twice.
And in so doing he completely bolluxed up our trip planning. He insisted on burning more of our daylight by taking our friends to a location where we had to meet up with them and provided a description of the meeting location that is not even on a map. We had planned to meet up at his rental place, but his insistence on another location cost us precious time and burned our friends' money at $100/hour.
I have no respect for this man and would not trust him to keep his word.
Best price on ATV rentals around! Self guided tour! Loved it!
