“remarkable Victorian architecture complete with a ghost story!”
The house is a seven-gabled Victorian residence that was home to a Civil War veteran. It was originally built nearer the Missouri River, then taken apart brick by brick and reassembled on the present site in 1877. There is a famous ghost story associated with the Bailey House that entertains all guests to the Museum. Displayed are period furniture, toys, clothed figures, and a quilt collection.
