“exhibits that interpret events from Brownsville's history”
The Historic Brownsville Museum Association opened in 1986 and houses a variety of exhibits that interpret events from Brownsville's history. Built in 1928, the building is an example of Spanish Colonial Revival Architecture. The building has received a Texas Historical Marker and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. A feature exhibit is a Baldwin wood-burning, narrow gauge railroad locomotive, the last one in the world of its kind.
