Located on the Recreation portion of the Wild and Scenic Chetco River, the Nook Bar Campground is less than a short 1/2 hour drive from the coastal town of Brookings. Enjoy summer fun in the crystal clear waters of this outstanding river. Picnicking, sunbathing and all manner of water sports are possible. For overnight camping, use tent, camper or small trailer. A few shaded sites can be found in the tree line. Facilities include toilets, trash collection, and river access. Directions from Brookings: Travel east on County Road 784 (North Bank Chetco River Road) to Forest Service Road 1376. Nook Bar is approximately three miles from the Forest boundary on Forest Service Road 1376.
