“home of the world's largest clam pile!”
The Cove is located between the two small towns of Quilcene and Brinnon, nestled in a scenic area of Highway 101 that hugs the shore of the great fjord, Hood Canal and at the eastern edge of the Olympic Mountains. Within minutes there are marinas, three major rivers and clam and oyster beaches. Bring your kayaks, boats and scuba and fishing gear.

Although we were next to Hwy 101 the noise was minimal. The park itself is very quiet. Not a lot of space at each site, but there is a nice covered area for socializing with a fire pit next to it (when there isn't a burn ban).
Fairly level gravel and grass site with FHUs 30 amp. Everything worked well. Park WiFi worked for us. Satellite (Direct) connected. Well stocked small store with friendly staff.
The speed bumps in front of the store/office are horrible - crawl over them with your foot on the brake or your cupboards will dump everything.
You're on the Hood Canal with two rivers and state parks (small) just down the road. Day trips to Sequim, Shelton and Port Townsend take you through beautiful forests and water views.

Our favorite campgrounds are either well-maintained State Parks, or the small private ones like Cove RV Park & Country Store. Wonderfully situated along the Hood Canal, close to a multitude of bays for kayaking, clamming, crabbing, or shrimping. Also a ton of state parks and trails of course for miles up and down the 101. Set your trailer down at this park for a week (or two) and explore hiking trails, views, and waterfalls to your heart's content.
The owners are great. Friendly and very helpful, and always around working on improving something around the park. Clean facilities, laundry room, excellent (cheap) fire wood, and an amazingly well stocked general store. Wifi was pretty decent, and the cell coverage is nice ands strong too.
The 101 is definitely a little close to the campground, but quiets down considerably at night, so no worries there. We would definitely use this site as our base next time we're in the area.

I loved this park. It's cozy and nice.
The sites are all gravel with excellent hookups. They even have cable TV. The site was also very level. The park can be a little tight but it's definitely doable for any size rig. I saw that the largest Class A's and 5th wheels were on the row next to the small road which was roomier.
The RV site area has a nice tree area lining the 101 to help block some of the noise. There's also a nice trail there that goes down to a season creek (dry when we were there). The road can be a bit noisy during the day but quiets at night.
Maybe it was the trees behind us or just the small size of the park in general but it felt very cozy. The small store is really cute and well stocked. The bathrooms were clean and nice and the shower was hot with great water pressure.
The location is awesome. Tons of hiking and exploration along the 101. Also down the small road next to the park is a large public boat launch area.
There isn't any grass at the RV sites, but there's tons of safe areas to walk your dog. I would walk ours along the smaller roads by the park. Tons of wild blackberries along the way to munch too. :)
We loved it and will definitely stay again if we're in the area!

Lovely RV park, fairly quiet with good amenities and attentive owners. A great place to stay for parents with kids at the nearby boyscout camp.
