We stayed here during a weekend in August. We only saw 4 other campers the whole weekend. They came in spent the night and left.
There is some noise from the road, but it was not bothersome.
There are garbage dumpsters and two pit toilets. They were clean, but still smelly.
Never saw the camp host, but he was there.
Primitive camping, no water. Sites are spacious, with lots of room between them, and a picnic table and fire ring. There are 24 sites, some with shade and some with sun for solar. Most are fairly level. Road is dirt, but not too bad. The last loop is pretty tight, Large rigs might be a challenge.
Side note: there is a Marine training base close by, be prepared for low flying aircraft during the week.

Stopped here for a night between Ebbets pass and Tioga pass. Really nice campgrounds friendly and helpful host. Might be a little tight for larger rv . Ours is 16foot . I think 20/22’ would work but much larger might be a challenge. Just up hwy395 on the hwy108 about5 miles or so. Half price with senior pass also a plus. Does close mid October as with most on the Sierra passes it seems.

Spacious sites with mix of sun & shade. Some road noise from Hwy 108. campground road is bumpy and tight in places. Clean vault toilets. No water here anymore.
Note: Main campground sign with name is missing off Hwy 108, use the small brown tent sign to find the entrance road (38.361001, -119.472583).
To access the river, follow a short trail through the campground, then walk along the highway shoulder a short distance then cross — be careful, cars are traveling fast.

We like to hike and fish in the area. Road in and around sites can be dusty. Nice place gif a couple days. Not sure I’d bring in anything much over 30’. Bugs were annoying in July after a wet winter.
