“with a VW van built in”
Welcome to Hi-Lo's, come on in! Grab yourself one of the hanging mugs & get yourself some coffee at the back of the bus. Pretty freaking cool. You can have a seat at the breakfast bar, a table, or the VW bus outside next the the building. Fun! Biscuits and Gravy are a local favorite, I know this because when I asked the waitress, the people at the next table schooled me on what to order. Yep, it's that kind of friendly place. The biscuit dough is cooked on a waffle iron, creating the craters for the gravy to lounge in, hence the name, Moon Biscuits and Gravy. It's an interesting thing to see a waffle, and taste a biscuit, but it was mighty mighty. I got the omelet (my choice of 3 things) with spinach, mushrooms, sausage, and cheddar cheese. It's great, served with potatoes and I got fruit instead of toast. Possibly about one of the top omelets that I've eaten. Huge, fluffy and full of the inside yumminess you want. You can make reservations to sit in the VW Bus, but other than that, no reservations. If you're driving through Bremerton, stopping in Bremerton, or if you live in Bremerton, you should really be eating here.
Great food, amazing service, and the vibe...I mean, where else would an owner play you the Spiderman theme song on her kazoo? Totally worth the wait! Very sad to see this place close. It will be... Read more

Hi los is our favorite place to eat. As a navy/gypsy family we move around a ton and finding a good food joint can be a challenge. We found one hell of gem with hi los. The service is amazing and the prices can't be beat. Never in my life have I experienced such a friendly down to earth staff. Combine that with the best breakfast food of your life,(moon biscuits and gravy) top notch coffee, a vw bus and amazing atmosphere and you've got one incredible restaurant. To top it all off they bring your check with a vintage lunch box full of candy. Get there early because this place is the best. Read more
This is by far my favorite breakfast place EVER! I was a local and went nearly every weekend. I am basically addicted to the Eggs Benedict (not on the menu, only available early on the weekends) but everything else I've had is delicious. It's quirky and they could not possibly be more friendly. Read more
