Osborne Overlook

Recreational destination for ATV and dirt biking on the dunes. Pretty fun to watch them rip around the hills and spray up dust. I wouldn’t have stayed here longer than 1 night but it was a great spot off the highway to park for the night and enjoy the dunes in the morning. Limited space available but easy, paved access.

What a stellar sunrise we had, we had the whole overlook to ourselves. Perfect spot to sleep before getting back on the road. Toilets weren’t the best. Will be coming back again with some off road vehicles next time!

Just off the highway, up a steeeeep hill ( shoulda put the truck in 1st gear). On top of the hill is a large flat asphalt lot. There are no marked spots, but rather a large rectangular outline where camping is allowed.
We arrived in the afternoon, there were 5 rigs camped in a group, but still plenty of room to spare for us. The view was amazing.

This is a popular place for locals to come take pictures of friends, families, and their shiny off road vehicles that they only pretend to take off road. It was fun to watch people come and go until after dark when The Youths showed up to drink and blast music. (I feel so old complaining). We cleaned up the townies' beer cans before heading out the next morning. All in all, we'd stay again despite the potential for rowdy neighbors.
