Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 14, 2023Bowling Green KOA is a typical KOA...not as nice as some but not the worst we have stayed at. Had some issues from the start with the park person finding our right site. He was new and the office gave wrong information. Finally got set up...site was pretty level with a mix of gravel and grass. We had a nice pad next to our coach and space all around us which was great!
About an hour after arrival we had no water (that lasted about 24 hours). A camper had run over a water hookup and didn’t tell the office till they left which wasn’t the campgrounds fault, but they should have called a plumber sooner to solve it quicker!
Not sure why they are classified as a Holiday...nothing going on while we were there and it is pretty run down.
Close to the highway but no problem with road noise.
Dog park was the best we have seen.
We had reliable full hook ups wtih 50 Amp service at our site. While the concrete patios were in good shape and large, the overall sites are very small. This led to your neighbors’ hook ups being right next to your patio. Overall OK if passing through or spending time in Bowling Green for other reasons. Spent just one night, every thing just fine.Clean and rather level for our A37 short pull thru. They have some neat tiny cabins facing a pond. Quiet - did not hear a thing.

We stayed one night -- Memorial Day. I think my criticisms were probably due to the heavy volume that must have occurred (so I would try this campground again). There weren't many campers present on the day we arrived. Our site was fairly unlevel, but the friendly person who checked us in said we could exchange it if we wanted. (We're not very experienced campers, but the surrounding sites looked unlevel, too.) The bathhouse was littered, but by Tuesday morning it had been cleaned. Maybe on busy weekends the bathhouse should be checked more frequently? Also the dumpsters were overflowing; probably there is nothing the owners can do about that. It was unsightly though. Finally, I know they are awfully cute, but the campsite hosted several Canadian geese and their hatchlings. My husband thought they were charming. I'm from the suburbs and only thought about the droppings that littered the grounds.

This KOA is good for a family camping destination. Fishing pond, mini-golf, KOA gold/gem panning feature, ample play areas, large dog run, jump pillow, and propane on site. Site was level gravel with FHU's, plenty long enough for the MH & toad. Interior roads are a mix of paved and gravel, can be a little confusing as to direction of traffic flow with little to no signage for directional help. The main road, Three Springs Rd., is a heavily trafficked
skinny, 2-lane road and gets easily congested. 10+ years of full-time RVing and we are still not big fans of the high rates a lot of the KOA's charge, but locations (and grandchild involvement) can be pretty persuasive as to whether or not to pay the rates.

What a gem of a park. It is a very nice KOA park. Young couple in the front office were super friendly and the fellow who escorted us to our sight was very helpful. Beautiful cabin setting on a pond. Lots of grass for forwarding. Even had a dog run. We missed the sign out front and had to turn around but that was my mistake. It was raining and miserable when we stayed there but would do it again. Lots of shopping close by.

Called last minute to see if they had availability which they did. It we were not 100% sure so they left a site map for us in the laundry room. We arrived after hours, easily found a site. Pull through with plenty of room. We stayed in D1 which was right by the dog park and close to the shower house. Really nice fire pits at each site. Nice playground. Pool is under construction. We left early in the morning and I called to make our payment. Super easy and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked a site here vs Beech Bend because of a handful of not great reviews for Beech Bend. The campground map at this KOA looked great -- pool, arcade, putt putt, jump pillow....lots of stuff. The only catches are the arcade doesn't exist ('coming soon') and the pool is closed (like falling in on itself, not going to open any time soon). They didn't mention anywhere that the pool was out of commission.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday they did have a cool water inflatable slide, which helped.
You won't mistake the campground wifi for a T1 line, but it was very workable all week (generally 5-20 mpbs down). The other highlight was our site (on the H line). It was in the 90s all week, but the site is perfectly shaded, so was never uncomfortable and the AC had no issues keeping up.
