Nothing special but cool for the kids. There is a skate park and also a very large new-ish playground. The bathrooms were not very clean but I have seen worse. Large covered area and it also has a decent walking trail. The map of the park shows to have some sort of RV PARK but we just parked in the parking lot by the playground because we did not see that area until the morning.
No showers at the park area but I cannot say for the RV PARK area as we did not go there.
WALMART is VERY close.
We stayed at the campgrounds. There is an honor system, $15.00 a night. Pay box at the entrance. Each site had electric & water. There is an dump station. Nice park with playground, skate park and basketball court. Soccer field. Swimming pool, closed. There is a train not to far away. They have a high swap meet they call it the Second Monday, but it's also open Saturday and Sunday.
Quiet and safe. $15 a night, pay at the red box at the entrance to RV area. Occasional train off in the distance. 30 and 50 amp electrical hookups. It’s dark at night and a little confusing which part of the park is the RV area. We arrived at 1130p and ended parking near the flea market vendor camping.
Look for the pool and a huge parking lot, the entrance to the RV area is behind the pool. They have a pool and skate park for the kids. The pool was open today. Close to stores, gas, Walmart, and Sonic. Friendly staff.
EXCELLENT Verizon cell service.
Spent a quick overnight here on the Friday before Columbus Day weekend, when the local venue was holding a large antiques/tag sale. I expected it to be busier, but there were 2 spots still available during my stay. Very quiet and serene, and a great deal. Single dump station, but electrical and water at the sites, although the water faucet was somewhat challenging to access since it was sub grade, and filled in with some soil that would have to be dug up to access the faucet.
We had this place to ourselves, it was great on a Friday night in August too. 15, 30, or 50 amp service at each site and the wide open spaces of the park to exercise Fido, or your kids. They do not have water and septic at each site, but they have water and a dump site on the property. Highly recommend it.
It's easy to find it's clean and it's got at least 10 or so sites in it I didn't walk around and count them. I would not stay here again for two reasons we were here on August 31st The crickets and the grasshoppers were so thick and they got into my vehicle and I'm still in the parking lot so I don't know if they're going to follow me down the road and if I'm going to have further problems getting the crickets out of my vehicle they crawled into my upper vents and made that cricket noise all night. Second reason I wouldn't stay here is that after 9:00 p.m. the hoodlums of town and I call them hoodlums just in fun because I don't know what they are but they came out with their vehicles and they drove around the park really really fast and harassed us for at least two or three hours they didn't make contact with any of us but they drove through really fast really rude and reved their engines and just wear an overall nuisance. The place is well maintained and looks very beautiful. But crickets grasshoppers and wild teens ruined it for us.Cell service was great.
Quite and safe place with electric and water dump station. Rv park its behind the pool, have hiking trail basket ball and volleyball court. Fast food walking distance Be careful with raining days my first night at spot 4 but need to move to 6 because when start raining spot 4 start flooding. Some locals don’t respect the Rv park at soccers days and park inside the spot. Self paid red box at entry.
Nice small city park but the sites are spaced out so you aren't close to other campers. A bargain for $15.
The RV park for the city has about eight spots with electricity and water. Water tastes good but is highly pressurized so make sure you use a pressure regulator. Gravel pads grassy area train next door but not too bad. Has a soccer field large wide open areas I would stay here again
Easy to find. I called the city first. Please note that the RV parking area is behind the pool.
Nice walking path around the park.
Home of the largest Bowie knife.
Electric hookup at spacious sites. RV dump and water at a separate area.
We did not use the bathrooms.
Park was beautiful.
