The views are spectacular, although I was surprised at how much traffic passed by late into the night and early in the morning. I stayed on a Friday night.

Just wanted to leave a note here to say that is for high clearance 4 x 4 vehicle (at least it was at the end of March 2018, it might vary with the rain). Just don't count on being able to camp here with a big rig.

5 miles in from Boulder UT. Parking lot on right. One longer term resident in a van but zero issues and loads of space. Dont miss arts collective and fab food & beer at Burr Trail Grill, known for their local grass fed burgers and huge slices of pie. Worth more than 1 visit!

no cell signal at all with verizon or att. I couldnt even use my drive reach.
So, this is just a small circle around a tree. I'm sure you could put tents in other areas off to the side of it but if someone else is already there you can't do a u-turn you'll have to do a 3 point turn (fyi for trailer people). I wouldn't bring a trailer over maybe 18 ft in here? It's pretty tight. Def not big rig friendly.
Beautiful views though and I put a hammock in the tree in the center!
Sand. Have 4wheel drive. The road dips hard so my camper hitch hit the ground just be careful.

Stayed one night in early November. After driving through Long Canyon and back, we checked out several dispersed sites but found most too rough or unlevel for us. But this spot worked great. Found a small area off to the rear of the big gravel area, near the wash.

Incredible camping spot! Free. Beautiful view. Drive slow to make sure you don’t miss the dirt road. We were the only ones there. I assume there could be 1-3 sites max. Fire pit. Quiet. No cell service with AT&T.
