“Welcome Y'all!”
BMGR is the perfect place for a unique outdoor vacation, a place to host your next family reunion or retreat, and one of the most magical destinations to tie-the-knot. We also have one of Southern Utah's most highly acclaimed restaurants, Sweetwater Kitchen. Open nightly, SWK serves garden-fresh plates and gourmet cuisine inspired by our worldly chef Scott Ashley. Let SWK cater to your palette during your stay or create full meal plans for a large party. The lodging at the BMGR includes cabins and a range of accommodations from bunk rooms to suites in our Main Lodge as well as one-of-a-kind Tipis and Cowboy Tents. During your stay, the possibilities are endless. The lodge is nestled one mile from the illuminated Painted Desert of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and two miles below the abundant aspen and pine tree forested peaks of Boulder Mountain is the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch (BMGR). The Ranch is located right off the beautiful scenic Hwy 12 and sits on a 150 acres, surrounded by the Dixie National Forest, presenting unobstructed and breathtaking panoramic views. We are within a short drive to Capitol Reef National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park and just a few miles from the famous Burr Trail. If you are looking for adventure you have come to the right place. Fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, stargazing, bird-watching, horseback riding and canyoneering are just a few of the recreational activities accessible in the surrounding area. With little or no crowds, spectacular scenery and adventure, Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch provides an unparalleled experience. Come enjoy the serenity and natural beauty, where the stars are bright and so are the smiles.
If you're traveling through the southern Utah area, DEFINITELY stay here in Boulder at the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. It's a bit off the beaten path, about three miles from Highway 12 (aka the Devil's Backbone), but absolutely worth it. The area is beautiful, and the guest ranch provides an awesome (and cost efficient) stay. The main lodge offers stunning views of the area as well as the delicious Sweetwater Grill (featuring organic food grown in the Guest Ranch's own garden), and the accommodations are wonderful as well. If you get the chance, try and sleep in one of the Guest Ranch's tipis--there's nothing cooler than sleeping under the stars in a queen bed housed within a beautifully-crafted canvas tipi.
This place was great. We stayed in a cabin with a loft for the kids. Our window overlooked the field where there were horses grazing and at night the stars were so beautiful! The staff was great, and our biggest surprise was the AMAZING dinner we had our last night there. I rarely rave about food, but this was probably the best dinner I have ever had in a restaurant. There are so many things to see in this area, we will have to go back! Can't wait ;)
You can "glamp" in the cowboy tent or the Native American tipi, or keep it simple with a cabin or a room in the lodge.
