“Be on top of the world”
Royal Arch Trail leads to a majestic natural sandstone arch. In addition, Royal Arch Trail has a beautiful view of the Boulder Valley. The trail isn't extremely challenging, but it does elevate quickly.
The trail up to Royal Arch begins a little ways up into the Chautauqua trail system and can be a reached a couple of ways. A trail map of the area can be obtained at the base of the Chautauqua Park system, either outside or at the ranger cottage.
great for a quick workout, with a beautiful view.
Great view of the Boulder valley below. The hike is not too difficult, and if you don't mind a little bouldering, you can get on rock faces about the top of the trail for some truly breathtaking views. One of my favorite short hikes (only takes a couple hours).
