“in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park”
Tamarisk Grove is a tree-shaded campground with restrooms and hot showers. Trails lead out from the camp to Yaqui Well, a spring famous for it diversity of birdlife. Another fascinating trail takes you through a beautiful stand of cactus on the Cactus Loop Trail. Primitive camp spots can be found at nearby Yaqui Well and Yaqui Pass. Winter visitors are often treated to a rare look at the desert bighorn sheep that winter on the ridges north of Tamarisk Grove. There are 27 sites for tents or RVs up to 21 feet (no hookups). Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Restrooms with flush toilets and coin showers and limited drinking water are available. Some facilities are wheelchair-accessible. Leashed pets are permitted in the campground, but not on trails or in wilderness.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 15, 2019We did not stay here, the sites were too small. Also, this campground is located along Route 78 at the point where Yaqui Pass Road meets it. During the day when we were checking it out, it had a fair amount of traffic noise.
Stayed overnight to get a jump on all the crowds coming in for “Superbloom” of wild flowers. Canyon trail with plenty of blooms right across the street. 12 cabins, 14 asphalt spots with fire pit, and concrete picnic tables w/cover. 22 ft or less, class B or small trailer/teardrop. Fairly level, no hookups, clean restrooms, token machine for showers. Was quiet at night. Would come back

Had a good night stay in march. It’s close to the road but didn’t hear much traffic at night. The shower was good. The rangers are nice.

This is a good utility overnight stay. Longer if you are just looking for a place to relax with good facilities. Clean and flat.
However, there is little privacy between spaces; as in none. There's not much to do except hike... to no particular destination. Not scenic. Thus, there's no reason to stay here as a destination. However, it's good for a re-set or re-organize location between other more desirable spots if none of the more popular campgrounds in the area are available. All sites are level with easy access.
