10/18/2023 - We stayed here because the one we wanted to stay at was closed for the season. Traveling in mid-October a lot of places close before the snow flies. This is one you should bypass unless you absolutely have to stop and use the septic dump and have electricity for warmth.
The sites are OK, tho’ uneven with tree roots, and the water has the distinct mineral flavor. Given the region of the country that is understandable. Most of the people are long term residents and definitely busy making a living. Quiet enough but not a lot of attention to site maintenance.
I was definitely uneasy in the bathrooms. I couldn’t tell if they were decorating for Halloween or if they just have not been cleaned in a year or better. The cobwebs and spiderwebs were more abundant than I was comfortable with. The toilet was clean (thank God) but the shower definitely needed elbow grease and scouring pads. The bathrooms had no vent, just aluminum windows that one could easily see into from the outside if one was so inclined.
The front desk staff was very nice. But the place charges a $3 registration fee!? What? So the 60 price ended up 69 with taxes and fees. This is not a place I would stay again. Dry camping would be preferable.
