The Sam Rayburn House Museum is located in the North Texas town of Bonham, in the county of Fannin, in the U.S. state of Texas. It was home to Sam Rayburn, a famously effective Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. The house was built in 1916. All the furnishings are original and remain as they were when the Rayburns lived there. A historic smokehouse, barn, garage, and Rayburn's 1947 Cadillac are also on site. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The Texas Historical Commission operates the home as a historic house museum, which contains numerous artifacts from Rayburn and his family.
