Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 05, 2015After 10+ days boondocking near Quartzsite, we were in search of a campground with full hook-ups. We like taking a night in a park, and dump our tanks at our leisure, and fill up the fresh. With the Passport America rate, staying at this park was actually cheaper than dumping/filling in the QZ.
It's about 5 miles outside of Blythe, and right along the Colorado River's edge. It's part mobile home park with some really old units, and part RV park. The sites along the river are awesome, and each has it's own little patio. However, due to federal regulations - there is no sewer access at these sites - which wouldn't meet our needs.
The rest of the RV Park is kinda standard fare RV Park - back to back sites, and some pull thrus. A lot of long term stay units, which occupy any site that might have a view of the river. You select your own site. Some tight turns in the park, but shouldn't be a problem for most.
For dumping the tanks at a leisurely paces, this park served us well.
Their laundry facilities however were really disappointing (one of our chores). Several units were out, leaving only two. And when we arrived, we were told the water to the building was out. We ended up going into town to a laundromat while we did our grocery stock-up run.

This place sounded so much different online than in reality. Most of this park is full time residents which would be fine if they all took care of their spots. Some sites were cared for but so many were not and since it appeared to be about 90% full time the tarps and junk piled around was an eyesore for those expecting a beautiful spot.
We needed to dump our tanks so set up in a standard site however looking around at the neighboring sites and knowing we were staying 2 nights, we decided to move down to a waterfront site. The waterfront view is breathtaking with the patios on the edge of the embankment so it was a good call to move.
The laundry room was bad but cheap. $1.50 wash and $1 dry (45mins). The store was well stocked but people working there were not extremely friendly. It's a pretty noisy park with all the full timers living life as usual which can be expected. Extremely loud boats (super power motors?) on the river made it unpleasant to sit outside while they were on the water.
We would camp here again but only for the night.. It is very pretty on the river but we were expecting something a little nicer for the price we paid.

We arrived on a Tuesday and had our choice of waterfront lots, each with a patio overlooking the Colorado River. The site was level on grass. The grounds were well kept with green grass all over. They were watering the site we chose so the groundskeeper let us turn it off since we were only staying one night. The laundry facilities were cleaned and worked well. There are several permanent residents in the park, but all were well maintained. The store had a little of everything and the staff were very friendly.
The view of the river was spectacular with beautiful mountains framing the scene in both directions.
There is a boat ramp, dock and picnic/swimming area but we were not interested in that this trip. They said it gets busy in the summer but our stay in April was very tranquil. We would definitely come again.

Beautiful location on the river. Have great access to the river with a boat ramp and pier.
Also have some tables right next to the river and some swim up ones in the river.
Hard to get a spot though due to a lot of the campers live here permanently.
Manager said lots of locals come here in the summer to play in the river and stay cool when it's 112.
Spots are mostly grass. Water and power. Spots are a little tight along river if you have a big rig, but I've seen worse. Some are 50 AMP and some are 30 AMP (not both) so bring your converter just in case.
Dump station on site but they do come around once a week to empty dump tanks.

Pros:
Park is well maintained and managed, laundry and showers are clean and work well, good boat ramp, pretty well stocked store, lots of trees and grass, nice patios on the riverfront sites if you can get one. Nice municipal golf course nearby. WiFi signal is strong throughout the park but very slow.
Cons:
Mix of full-time retirees in all kinds of dwellings from nice single-wides to junky old travel trailers in half the park. Other half is rented for short-term and seasonal. People park their trailer for the summer and come on the weekends to play on the river so gets quiet during the week and a little rowdy on the weekends. Newer sites (short-term) don’t have trees yet and no sewer so a pump out truck comes twice a week. Long way into town for supplies.
Overall it felt safe and the people were nice enough but kept to themselves for the most part.

No no no no no no no! This was by far the worst place we have stayed. Ever. I would not even give them one star. And they charged $48. How the reviews are a 4 star average is beyond me. This place was full of full timers and it appeared most got the riverfront spots with the patio. There were only a couple of spots up front to accommodate our 40’. And the connections were on the OPPOSITE side, so we had to thread everything thru from underneath. Our power cord barely made it.
When we arrived we had to drive thru this whole park after checking in to snake around the single wide mobile homes, cars, trash and tarps to get back to the front where it looks like were the only spots that could accommodate our rig. The laundry facility, showers, trash (which was overflowing) all were deep INSIDE this park. A long gross walk that I was not willing to take.
The general store has a very nice girl check us in, but the store was nasty and full of loiterers oogling over the poor girl behind the counter.
We were not at a dump site, I really didn’t see any sites. There was a dump “station” (and I say that loosely) that was situated right next to someone’s nasty singlewide.
The website completely misrepresented this place. The pictures do not accurately show the real park. My husband did happen to walk down to take a great picture of the River. I wasn’t willing to make that journey.
If you want a nice relaxing pretty place. Look elsewhere.
Oh and we had to take our trash with to dump at the next gas station.
Oh and they also only grant wifi for TWO devices. You have to pay for any more.
Sorry for the rambling, but I hate getting f ripped off.

Reviews were misleading. This is a predominantly long term park, if you drive into the back there are some pretty sad trailers. Which is where you have to go to get to the laundry. We did not get a site overlooking the water, and didnt mind since its a rather bland view and very tight. We had a grassy area by the entry that had some room. Neighbors were long term and just drunk all the time, spent 3 nights with loud music till very late, yelling nasty political statements. We only picked this because we thought we could kayak, river runs too fast for that but if we would have stayed at the much nicer state park down the road we could have managed it. Manager apologized to us for the loud music but they couldnt do much about it. Had a honey bucket come and dump which was not as convenient as a full hook up. The wifi for 2 devices was only 700 kbps and was slow. When we left noticed that the water coming out of the hose was BROWN, really put some wear on our filter.
