It is literally an abandoned airstrip right next to the road. It was pretty quiet for us and the proximity to the road was no issue. Easy and free....

I was pleasantly suprised at how nice this dispersed camping area was. There were four vehicles there when we arrived and we found a nice spot to set up the tent as well as park the motorcycles. It was so quiet. It is right near the highway but it has a very low usage. Across the fence was an animal trail that served as a nice hiking trail. I never heard a car at night and only one around 6:00 am. When we were leaving I noticed several more vehicles had arrived late and all found a good spot.

We stayed one night here when Natural Bridges campsite was full. The airstrip is right off the road and I expected it to be noisy, but the road is lightly traffic, especially at night, so it was quiet. There is room for several RVs, nicely spaced out, but we were the only ones there.

This is essentially just a pull off, but it was nice and we felt safe. It was only 2 miles past Natural Bridges National Monument. It gets a lot of use, even in late October. We have a 17ft. Travel Trailer and parking here was easy. We saw much bigger rigs here though and there is plenty of parking on the asphalt. We felt comfortable unhitching and leaving our trailer here, as did many others. There are three entrances to the airstrip. I would take the second as the other two have some big gouges that might make it hard in an rv or travel trailer.

Super east to get in (Use center entrance). Views not so great unless you walk a few feet into the little trees. Night sky was super. Could see the bats flying at night when they crossed the Milky Way. We were first ones at about 3pm. By dark 4 others had set up. Room for about 20-30. No traffic after 9pm. So dark and quiet. No cell service for miles.

Fairly level area. Only 3 other vehicles on a Monday night in mid-October 2019. We were able to have plenty of space to ourselves. Not scenic or anything, but it's just a place to spend the night. Surprisingly quiet for being right next to a road.

Arrived 10/28/20 only one other camper arrived later in the day. Airstrip about 3000’ long, parking on either side. All of it big rig friendly. Nice views, quiet even though along side the road. 4 miles to Natural Bridges NM, and several trails in the area. Close to Moki Dugway for a nice day trip. Easy to find, milepost 76.9. Would definitely stay again. Verizon 1-2 bars.

First off, someone reported the MP to be 76.9. It is actually at MP 87. First night there was 2 of us, 2nd night was 4 and 3rd just us. It is a great location for Natural Bridges NM and Bears Ear NM. No cell service at the airstrip but some of the higher points had ATT service. Highway very quiet at night.

We intended to stay, but it was snowing and 28 at 1:00, too cold for us. Will definitely try another trip. The access in and out was easy.
