Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on June 03, 2021Not many spots for larger RV’s. Ours is a 25 foot trailer and we found one spot. We were about one mile in on the right. A few spots were already taken one nice one o the left side close to the road. Buttermilk, the dirt road in was dusty and washboard. Lots of traffic unsure where they were all going?
Views were spectacular and an easy road trip to Lake Sabrina. We snow shoed approximately 3 miles from the road closure on 168 to Lake Sabrina.
Most campgrounds closed this time of year.
Verizon cellservice came in and out. Some calls were dropped then at other times we could get internet.

It's odd the last review on this spot was October 12th. We arrived October 25th to find the area full of "Closed to Camping" signs. I left a longer review on the Buttermilk Road listing, but as far as I can tell, there isn't much in the way of camping here any longer.

We had intended on camping further up 168 at Four Jeffery but our tow pig overheated so we pulled off onto buttermilk rd. Still in service we were able to find McGee creek aka “pet cemetery”
The good:
-Relatively remote
-Easy access to walking & OHV trails.
-Not far from bishop proper
-Not far from lake Sabrina
-Awesome spot for smaller rigs or campers
-cell service
-incredible scenery
The bad.
-Not for bigger rigs.
Our 5th wheel is 35ft and 10k lbs and we had a hell of a time getting set up and almost got super stuck.
-there is a lot of turn over w/ back packers and OHV peeps
-fire restrictions in place
-rough ass roads
