Big Sur Station

Big Sur Station is a multiagency visitor center and ranger station operated by Caltrans, the Los Padres National Forest, and California State Parks. It is approximately 26 miles south of Carmel, California near Big Sur, California.  Big Sur Station has information about hiking, camping, road conditions and more. While in Big Sur you can pick up trail maps, books, posters, and lots of other information. They also have public restrooms. No public telephones but cell phones work in this area
